The Karakoram Mountain Range dominates the northern portion of Pakistan. It is the immediacy and intimacy of the Karakorams that make them so remarkable. Not only does the Range contain the infamous K-2, the 2nd highest mountain in the world at 28,750 feet, but also, over 60 mountains exceeding 22,000 feet. Here the light of the full moon bathes the glacier on one of the Karakoram's massive peaks.
