The 'town of the thunderbolt,' Darjeeling, INDIA,
is possessed by the presence of Mt. Kanchenjunga which looms on
the horizon and pierces her heaven. Rising to 28,170 feet, the mountain
dominates the horizon, as you look from India into Nepal and the
backbone of the massive Himalayan Range. On rare occasions, the
full moon remains on the skyline as the first light of dawn begins
the illumination of the 'roof of the world' and the world's third
highest peak.
